|Client Name:||Keiwit EllisDon|

The Viva H3 Project involves the design and construction of segregated centre-lane rapidways along Highway 7 from Bayview Avenue to Town Centre Boulevard. The client is the Kiewit – EllisDon consortium or “KED”. Included is the construction of twenty two bus stations and the installment of intelligent transportation systems. The project also features the extension of three culverts, the widening of two bridges, and two pedestrian elevator/stair towers at Bayview Avenue. Viva D1 is a similar project for the same client, in this case extending 2.6kl on Davis Drive from Yonge Street to Patterson Street just east of the Southlake Regional Health Center. Work commenced in the spring of 2012 and will remain ongoing until the fall of 2015. The first phase of a new bridge structure over the Holland River was completed in the fall of 2011, with the removal and replacement of the remainder of the existing structure to follow. The construction of a large number retaining walls is a key feature of this project because of the proximity of local businesses to the roadway. Extensive underground service reconstruction and road widening are scheduled to commence in the spring of 2013.
